From 2021-2023 Soror Kendra Grant was a staple in my Delta career when I was a collegiate member of Gamma Lambda at Johnson C. Smith University. She is the epitome of what it means to be a Delta woman.

Soror Grant helped me and my line sisters with financial literacy, showing us how to use the financial handbooks, document purchases for the chapter, and store all receipts and invoices allowing for easy access when needed for records. She also taught us how to remain poised and calm during chapter meetings that became passionate, helping keep a safe space where everyone was able to express themselves clearly.

But what really made me appreciate Soror Grant was the moments outside of Delta. She was a listening ear and someone who all of my line sisters were able to talk to. She really tried to find solutions and not be a part of the problem. Soror Grant was truly a great collegiate advisor.

Soror Kendra Grant has been a part of my life for most of my life, which has given me the unique privilege of watching her grow, lead, and serve across many seasons. While I know her as a lifelong friend, I have also had the honor of knowing her as a Soror, and one thing has remained consistent through the years: Kendra leads with integrity, purpose, and a genuine heart for people.

I have seen Kendra at her strongest moments and during challenging seasons, and through it all she has remained steady, thoughtful, and grounded. She is the person people naturally turn to for wisdom, support, and honest perspective because she listens without judgment and genuinely cares about people. She has a way of making others feel valued, heard, and understood.

She is thoughtful in her approach, balanced in her perspective, and intentional in how she shows up for others. Kendra does not seek recognition or attention. Instead, she quietly and consistently does the work, creating meaningful impact wherever she serves. She listens carefully, values diverse viewpoints, and has a natural ability to make people feel seen, heard, and respected.

Knowing Kendra as both a great friend and Soror has allowed me to see the leadership qualities that many may not always witness. I have seen her compassion, her quiet strength, her resilience, and her unwavering commitment to doing what is right. I am confident she will bring fairness, discernment, and purposeful leadership to the South Atlantic Regional Nominating Committee, and I wholeheartedly support her candidacy.
